Normy Smart Tags Setup Guide
1. Install & Activate Normy Gateway
The Normy Gateway serves as the bridge between your Normy Smart Tags and the LoRaWAN network. It does not require internet access but should be installed in a centralized location with unobstructed antenna access to ensure optimal performance.
2. Activate Smart Tags
Using the activation wand included with your Smart Tags. Hold the magnetized wand close to the designated activation area on the Smart Tag. The device will power on and automatically enter pairing mode.
3. Pair Smart Tags with the Gateway
Once activated, the Smart Tag will communicate with the Normy Gateway.
Log in to your online portal account. The activated Smart Tag should appear in the device list within the portal.
5. Attach Smart Tags to Livestock
Each tag has a unique identifier, make a record of the cattle tag assigned to each Normy Smart Tag.
Use the Normy Tag Gun attach the Smart Tag to your cattle. Ensure it's snug but comfortable to prevent discomfort or injury.
6. Configure Online Portal
In the online portal update the tags with the Cattle Tag Numbers and access the geo-fencing feature to map out your farm's virtual boundaries.
Configure notifications to receive instant alerts when livestock enter or exit these predefined areas.
7. Monitor and Manage
Utilize the online portal to track livestock locations, monitor activity patterns, and receive health insights.
Periodically check the devices for any signs of wear and ensure firmware is up to date via the portal.
